The 4th in a series of "What about's" ... Today's encounter is with MISTER SHHH... Steve Buscemi in the B Movie Classic - Things To Do in Denver When You're Dead

Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead is a strange one, all the hallmarks of a decent B Movie, but a very assured ensemble. The story is simple.... Mob boss 'The Man With a Plan' (Christopher Walken) forces retiring gangster 'Jimmy The Saint' (Andy Garcia) into a final job he can't refuse. He assembles his trusty friends and co-criminals for a final payday but alas all goes wrong, terribly wrong in fact and Jimmy and his pals are summoned to 'Buck Wheat's' - death in the most painful way, they're given 24 hours to get away. But they're not going to get far...
Mister Shhh turns up midway through as the clinical, ruthless hired hitman appointed to dispose of the group. Mister Shhh is a strange being, his old fashioned suit and hat, crooked stance, softly spoken voice hiding the rather ruthless killer inside.

Jimmy informs his pals the dreadful news of their fate.

Mr Shhh turns up for his first kill...


'Pieces' (Christopher Lloyd) is first up, after deciding he's not going to run away,
he's the easiest to find - at work as an adult film projectionist.
He takes his punishment like a man, his final words being "make it quick!"

Next up is Easy Wind (Bill Nunn) where the plan to hideout in a rough arse ghetto didn't quite go to plan and they're no match for Mister Shhh.



Easy Wind meets his end in the most painful way of being shot up the 'arris and left to die a slow painful, lonely death!

Next up, despite assurances from The Man With The Plan (Christopher Walken)
that he and his young family would be spared and he'd got out on the road
Franchise (William Forsythe) had not got far away enough.

Next up is crazed physco Critical Bill and he proves a match for Mister Shhh,
He's waiting and he's ready. Tricking and surprising Mister Shhh, before blowing him across the room.
"I am Godzilla, You Are Japan!!"

Even with no chest left Mister Shhh, still gets the job done, cutting short Critical Bill's celebrations.

As they both croak it! 4/5 for Mister Shhh.

UPDATE

Here's a quick update to let you know of our plans and what might be happening here at The CC.

As the warmer months slowly start to creep in we'll be releasing more brand new Tee designs and restocks of some of the favourites and best sellers. We'll be looking at a World Cup themed month in late May/June where we'll be ensuring restocks of our take on the classic World Cup Mascots from '66 and '82 respectively Willie and Bobby are available and who knows maybe even a brand new England tribute tee.

We have two new designs just gone in for sampling, subject to screen printing success they'll be more details about those very soon. We also hope to bring some more new, different and alternative product to you over the coming months so watch this space. We have plenty of plans of what we'd love to release, believe it or not and I guess a pitfall of being independent - the hard part has been finding the elusive perfect 'contact' (or lack of) in the fields we need to deliver the right product! We'll keep on searching...

Last but by no means least ~ the continual roller coaster ride that has been trying to get a Connoisseur Polo Shirt done properly and made to our exact specifications (as opposed to just off any old shelf) continues to be a little up and down for us. This is the third attempt we're on and believe me we have our fingers, toes and testicles crossed that we'll be able to bring them out for Summer! Any updates and news regarding these or anything else you'll hear it here first.

GEMMA ARTERTON looking rather nice with a 'retro-raunchy' get up going on in this month's Gentleman's Quarterly magazine. The 24 year old actress who's already been a Bond girl will be one of the big stars of the silver screen this year, she also looks great half dressed too. Talented doris 'eh?

KEITH ALEXANDER 1956 - 2010

Sad news today that Macclesfield Town Manager Keith Alexander has passed away.
A sudden and untimely death at just 53 years old.

He took charge of his last game just last night as Macclesfield played at Notts County.
Alexander who has suffered previous health problems, in 2003 whilst manager at Lincoln City he was rushed to hospital with a cerebral aneurysm but made a full recovery and was back in work within three months.
Almost exactly a year ago before Macclesfield's game with Bournemouth he was taken to hospital after feeling unwell and was given a brain scan, he was given a full clean bill of health and the illness was attributed to a 'bug' going round at the ground.
Alexander earned the reputation of a manager who could maximise working with a shoestring budget, he transformed Lincoln from a struggling outfit to play off contenders in each of his four seasons there. He also had spells at Peterborough and Bury before becoming Macclesfield Town manager in February 2008. He was rewarded with a two-year contract for keeping the club in the League and again sustained the Silkmen's status in the 2008-09 season.



His first managerial appointment in 1993 at his first spell in charge of Lincoln saw him become the first black professional manager. He also had spells at Ilkeston and Northwich before returning to Lincoln as assistant to Alan Buckley in 2001 before taking full charge again in 2002.His playing career saw him play for Grimsby, Stockport, Lincoln, Mansfield and Barnet playing until almost 40 years of age. He was also capped by St Lucia 3 times in the early 90s.

Will England show a tribute of some form tonight for Keith Alexander, who knows? There should be a minutes silence for him or blackarmbands and a reminder that away from the greedy league the heart and soul of football should matter. It would be a nice fitting tribute. *edit I hear they will, so fair play! *
